Feature request: wait till end of day to collect tokens · **Released**: 06-23-2006

We use points on our forums for a lot of different things besides the forum shop. A lot of users join our forums and just spam topics to get tokens.

Is there anyway that instead of giving points to users as soon as they post, it would wait until the end of the day and give everyone their points at once?

The only way to do something like this, would be to add the points accumulated into a different field in the user table and have it award the points in the other userfield in a cron task.

Which imo, doesnt really sound that practical and doesnt warrant having another field in the user table for this, although, u could add support for this on ur own I'd think just by manually adding a new table to ur user table, changing the points table in the vbBux Settings to ur newly created table, and creating a CRON task to transfer the points hourly, nightly, etc..

This works fine except on the postbit template it shows the temp column as how many tokens they have. I found in the template that it is $post[points] but I'm not sure where that get referenced at.

Also this makes everything you spend in the shop use the temp column instead of the regular one. I'm not sure if this would really work out for us. Any ideas?

Without seeing what u have modified, I cant really comment further on the situation.

$post[points] is set in the plugins though in the plugins folder in various places.
