Site slandering my site

include details of each 'claim' that was made, by who, what time, which page etc. dont try and justify yourself as in 'which is obviously not true because everyone knows i hate dogs' just put what has been said in writing.

Im not a lawyer but if they continue then youve asked them to stop, made it clear what theyve done wrong, said that youre holding them responsible, if they dispute it thats fine, but if they just continue then they know theyve done something wrong, and then i think you have a case.

Finally something I can contribute to. I was slandered on a board once and they posted my IP number of my computer publicly for all to see. Don’t know how serious that is some say it isn’t and other say it is. However I retained a lawyer and he sent letters to the site admin and the not sure of the terminology but the host and server? Anyways after thousands of dollars for his research of the laws he said to go further would cost me at least 20 thousand to take them to court. He was quite sure we had a good chance of winning. So I dropped it as I didn’t have that kind of money to do that.

I've had all this too. If I had threatened the perpetrators with some sort of legal action, it would have absolutely made their day.

So I took to compltely ignoring everything and anything they did.

After a period of depserate attempts to get me to go and post on their site, they gave up and vanished.

It's the old 'bully' scenario....don't respond. They hate that.

Update, I contacted the host of this site, I noticed that they have been taken down.

25% of my hits come from people talking negatively about my website...... Is it such a bad thing?? depends on the site....

Also, Perhaps one needs to look into how popular that other site is too. check on alexa.com.... if it doesnt show up, not much use worrying about them. They are small fish.
