How do I allow my registered members to edit post titles? *PLEASE HELP*
Hi All. I hope that someone has an answer for me. I get at least 2-3 post a day, asking if I have figured it out.
I have VBulletin 3.5.4 and I was wondering how I allow all registered members to edit their post titles. When they edit their post and change the title, it only changes within the post and NOT on the main forum. As an admin, I am able to double-click the title/username and an edit box opens right there on the main forum. I posted and asked all the members to please try and attempt the same thing. It was a no go. Is there a setting somewhere? code to allow this? Anything? Thanks so much in advance, this would be a huge help! |

Do you mean when they post a thread , and the title displays as the name they choose ......
Then afterwards they edit their post , but the title of the thread stays the same even if the details on the thread changed ? As far as i know that setting would be in the Usergroups and then in Administrator Permissions and in each person Can Administer Threads By default only admins and mods can edit these things , but i think this may help ... https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...nister+Threads |

Just change the time allowed for users to change their own thread title. They are allowed to do it as long as the setting indicates. As well, they can change their own titles inline on forumdisplay using AJAX the same way mods and admins can. As long as it's within the time setting.
It's in Options > Message Posting and Editing Options > Time Limit on Editing of Thread Title |
