Hey, we are merging with another website who owns vbulletin. How would we go about getting their copy of vbulletin working on our website along with having the same user database and post / topic content. We want their forum to move to our domain with as little downtime as possible. Thanks

If you already have a vBulletin liscense and wish to import all the data from their into yours. I suggest trying out the impex tool. and then simply pointing their domain name to yours.

Is the impex tool in vBulletin or is it seperate from that?

It's seperate, all you need to do is go into the member's area and click download impex.

Ok, I can save all the information of our forums now. What is needed to install vbulletin on a new webserver. Since I was not the one who purchased the license, I need to explain to the person who purchased the license on what needs to be done to move the forums to our server.
Thanks |
