Setting a maximum size for an attachment is not enough. Your server (apache/PHP/MySQL) must also support those large files.

Please start with checking your php.ini for max_upload_size and max_execution_time parameters.

If you have large attachements, make sure you store attachments in the filesystem and not the database.

To give more precise answers, you will need to post the exact error message you are getting.

PS Single files of a size of 2Gb, you will never be able to handle.
