Usergroups scalability?

Hi all,

I am thinking of doing or getting someone to do a mod for my site that allows members to join teams. The teams will have a homepage on my site with news, forums, member lists, etc.

Anyways, I am thinking the best way to do this at the moment. Would it be for each team to be a usergroup and maybe a secondary usergroup for the admin?

Hopefully if all thigns work out, I could be looking at over 1000 teams, so thats at least 2000 usergroups, how would VB handle that?

I am still very new to VB so I really appreciate any guidance here.
