Here is the first BotM contest held on vB.org, let's make this a success.
Here are the quick nomination guidelines for the people that would've forgot to check the rules
Nomination guidelines
* Nominations can be made by the site owner or anyone else.
* All Nominations must be seconded by someone else.
* Nominations will be voided if it is not seconded.
* The 5 boards that has the most nominations (seconded) will be placed in the poll in alphabetical order.
* If won, candidate is not eligible to enter again for 6 months.
* When nominating please post the url to the board and why.
* If the nominated forum is not available at the time of creation of the poll another site will be selected to take it's place.
* Nominations will begin on the 3rd of every month, and accepted for the 8 following days till the 11th.
For the July contest, we have started the nominations on the 7th (Midnight) and will end on the 15th of June.
Well good luck and give us your nominations!

since i started out with forum software ie;phpbb and all the other free ones,
i didn't find it/them as good as i wanted. So i done some searching and pretty much gathered that vBuletin was the best. Anyway it was at this point that i found vBhackers and since then i've been a member and found that the site is extremely helpful. You never see a post in the support area go unanswered and thats credit to the board and staff
The Chief nominating his own site is not a conflict of interest. Every forum needs to be seconded anyway, and it's also a public vote at the end of the process between 5 nominees.
also supporting vbhackers.com, they do have one of the biggest assets around the net: the community enjoys each other, learns from and help out each other

How can it not be Danny? He and Ntfu2 decide who the final 5 nominees are? Give me a break.
Wouldn't it be fair if the top 5 nomies got into the poll, or is that how it is?
Yup, that's how it is.
All seconded nominations will get a number. Then with those numbers we will see who was the most seconded and then we will sort them in the poll for you guys to vote.
@Princeton & Danny.VBT: I respect your thoughts on the matter but I fully disagree. It's not about the end result but the entire process. The nomination of your own site alone is not the conflict of interest; deciding which boards go through the voting process, with your board as a contender, is.
If The Chief's board is in contention to go through the voting process two things will happen (if he chooses to participate at this stage of the contest): 1) He will value his board over another or 2) He will under-value is board and push for another. How can this not be a conflict of interest?
My point is not to discredit The Chief or Ntfu2. They may very well be honest people. I'm not down-playing the contest either as I believed in it from the onset. I should have added more input when I was approached to help out but I did not realize that this contest would get off the ground as fast as it did. Too soon? Only time will tell. While vB.org's BOTM is in the early stages I'd like to see that this matter is looked at more in-depth in the future for the legitimacy of the contest.
If anything, I'll continue this discussion (if warranted) in the Feedback forum. Again, good luck to everyone who has entered.
