Stupid question
I know this may sound like a stupid question, but what is the differences between:
your forum root and your forums directory thanks in advance........hotwheels |

Your forum root is where the index.php is located. The forum directory is the directory path where the forum's data will be stored on the server.

Forum's Root and Forums Directory should be the same thing. But there are those that will say the forums root is the directory ABOVE the forums directory. yoursite.com = forums root yoursite.com/forums = forums directory So it all depends on who you are talking to at them time, I guess. |

I tend to use 'forum root' in my installation .txt's. Personaly I am refering to the directory showthread.php is in (in most cases yourdomain.com/forum/)
