like that mod forcing one user to read a thread, any chance we could have a mod forcing registered users to have an avatar, else they can't browse the forum at all?
It alerts the user that in order to browse the forums, they must define an avatar. They are given a link to the page where the avatar can be uploaded or selected. At this point, they may click the link, or log out. Any other action will repeat the advisory. I tried to follow the request to the letter when coding this simple mod.

Once the OP verifies that it does exactly what they want, and has a chance to give feedback on other options they might like, I will consider publishing it officially.
Our forum is requiring members to have their avatar but it's only an option, they can have it or not, depends on their hobby.
In my point of view, "requiring to have an avatar to browse the forums" is not necessary because some people have habits to use avatar but some didn't like use avatar for their profile.
