Force user to have an avatar to browse the forums
 

like that mod forcing one user to read a thread, any chance we could have a mod forcing registered users to have an avatar, else they can't browse the forum at all? :)

of course that shouldn't affect guests :)

I have attached a simple mod that should do the trick. :)

edit: If you want any settings to exclude users/usergroups, let me know.

This would be similar to the products:

It alerts the user that in order to browse the forums, they must define an avatar. They are given a link to the page where the avatar can be uploaded or selected. At this point, they may click the link, or log out. Any other action will repeat the advisory. I tried to follow the request to the letter when coding this simple mod. :)

That is ridiculous. Forcing people to have an avatar to just browse your forum. Why?

It's not something I would do either, however, when someone makes a request, and it isn't immoral or illegal, I will help if I can. :)

Our forum is requiring members to have their avatar but it's only an option, they can have it or not, depends on their hobby.

In my point of view, "requiring to have an avatar to browse the forums" is not necessary because some people have habits to use avatar but some didn't like use avatar for their profile.
