Need to change site of field that RSS feeds get entered into.
I posted this on vB.com and suggested I ask here:

Not tested but increasing the column in the database should allow for longer URL's.

Thanks. BUT, I have no clue where to start even looking how to do this.

3.6.10 (too many mods to move to 3.7 at this stage)

Try running the following query (always backup your datebase before running manual queries!):
[sql]ALTER TABLE rssfeed CHANGE COLUMN url url TEXT;[/sql] |

Thanks Marco. Its way beyond me technically, so the great folk at URLJet did it for me and it works wonderfully.
Hopefully taking this keyword relevant RSS feed from eBay with my affiliate link in it will make a few more $ for me. The next step is to post the mod to post the rss feed as rposts and not a new thread for each item, then get one of the moderators to take responsibility for deleting old auctions. |
