To merge two vbulletin db's correctly, use Impex, which is downloaded from vbulletin.com memberarea.

Unless you're merging vB 3.7...Until it goes Gold the Impex for that version won't be released as fars as I understand it.

What if I want to import one vB database into another... is Impex the right tool for that? What I've read so far (at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116398) seems to assume you're importing from phpbb or some other forum software.
So I guess the question is... is there a better or simpler way to join two vB forums? THe new one is 3.7 and the old is 3.0.x if that makes a difference. ...oops, just noticed that the original question was for two vB databases. Sorry... any other advice though? |
