Default Email Admin when users waiting for moderation

We have our board set to moderate new users. Currently, VB emails me when someone registers - but that doesn't mean they are ready to be moderated. First, the user must receive the confirmation email and click on the link. Sometimes this can take hours or days.

Is there a way to have VB notify me when a user confirms their email address and is ready to be approved?

I'd really like to provide better service to our members, and help retain new members, by making the approval process as quick and responsive as possible. I don't want someone waiting hours for me to check the system. Since VB is so aggressive in other areas of notification, this step seems very passive. I have searched this site, but wasn't able to find a hack to manage this.

Thanks in advance!

I don't use confirmation links in email.

I have the system-generated emails sent to a moderator, who then PMs the new user with a "Welcome to the forum!" message. 99 times out of 100, the new user replies to this with a "Thank you".

Since vBulletin also emails the new user with a "Welcome" email, I check for bounced emails before upgrading new users. Bounced email = invalid email address = most likely spammer or bot.

I do have a User Promotion set so that a new user comes out of moderation after 25 posts or after 7 days. Theoretically this should give us plenty of time to catch spammers and bots before they come out of moderation. Luckily I've only had one, and we caught them within their first two moderated posts.

Having just released a Modification to cater for alerts when (New) Moderated Threads and Posts arrive [link] I fully intend to create another for Moderated Users too.

As with the original poster, I am alerted via email upon registration, but without checking manually there is no notification when a user moves into the Moderation Queue. If there is sufficient interest, I'll push up my development schedule, otherwise it will be January 2008 before I get it done.

TigerWare. I am interested.

Drives me crazy that Im not notified when a user confirms himself. Sometimes they sit there for a week or longer before I remember to manually check if anyone is in the queue.
