IpInfo is a replacement for the standard 'view users ip' option in
vBulletin. Normally when you click on the view ip button in a user's post
you'll only see his or hers ip address and host name.
With ipInfo you'll get more information. Besides the ip address and host
name you will also see what other users have posted with the same ip
address. That feature can be really good for spotting clones.
Another thing ipInfo will show you is what other ips this user has posted
with and how many times. Could be useful when you want to ban all of the
ips of a user and not just the one of that post.
Easy Update:
- Update XML product
- replace the file on the server.
Settings:
AdminCP => vBulletin Options => Message Posting and Editing Options
- IP Info
- IP Info Access

I know American English.

Brilliant mod! I'm a moderator of gaming tournament forums, and this mod has been a huge help in discovering banned users creating new names. Combined with a proxy detection mod, this is great with keeping certain users off the forums. I'm more than excited to install this on my own forums.

Oh, Yeah.
I had problems of many gamers that loved to come on as other names to post in favor / disfavor of an argument to try and win in a point of view. I ended up getting rid of 5-700 members that did nothing but fight, piss and moan.

It's almost like we were on the same forum together..

Yes, very much so. It's currently working for version 3.8.4 on my forum.
Just curious, in #49 and #52, how do you know what code was changed? I can see in #52 it was noted "Start New". But do you just have to compare #49 to the orginal code? Just a Newbie asking....
Install, set usergroups in AdminCP => vBulletin Options => Message Posting and Editing Options - IP Info Access but not show anything in threads
Hey Zac
Love the mod and we use it a lot. Just a quick question. I have a ton of screenames IP addresses coming up under the Forum Admin account and I'm not sure why. I know if I manually add a member from my location that this will happen but I have at least 50 members or more listed as sharing the Forum Admin's IP address. I'm running 3.84
