You watch commercials? I DVR everything I own and fast forward during commercials. Only time I watch a commercial is when I fast forwarding and go "What just happened there?". Never had that happen with a Mac commercial. Honestly thought they stopped running that campaign months ago after their own research said that the Mac guy seems snobbish and actually turned people away from buying Macs. At the same time more people identified with PC and liked him more. Which I know has some anecdotal truth because my mother was going to buy a new computer and was initially looking at Macs. Those commercials made her feel like Macs were for young kids and she wouldn't be able to use it easily. So she bought two Dells instead.

Hmm.. They work in both my computer and my wife's computer without problem. We're both running Windows 7 64-bit and have nVIDIA cards. I have an 8600GT and she has a 9800GS.

It may just be mobile editions. I'm trying to get it working on an 8400m. My card is in nvidias supported list with the latest driver (186.81) but during install it throws up a message about it not being the right driver for 64-bit, upon attempting it other times it crashes when overwriting the extracted files. It then says something along the lines of it not being the 64-bit uninstaller.. : shrug :

A pretty big headache to work around, but eventually I'll figure out a solution.

Honestly I loved Windows xp, it was amazing but since using windows 7 I would never go to any other operating system. There are alot of built in feature that never really got mentioned.

Personally of my favorite features is its ability to automatically connect to most Internets without any setup. When i switched to satellite internet it took a computer tech over 2 hours to set it up and get it running. When i switched over to windows 7 i thought i was going to be hell getting the internet working again but it had already installed the internet and had it getting updates already. It also will set up almost all Internets, just get all the cords set up correctly and restart the computer and it should be set up.

There are some compatibility issues that i have come by but that is only because i am using windows 7 x64 version. the x32 version has nearly no compatibility issues. But people who have been using x64 for a while will not even notice any difference as they are used to the occasional issues.

As far as performance goes my computer loads up about 2 seconds faster then it did with windows xp and about 20 seconds faster then it did with windows vista. It usually boots up in around 8-10 seconds. Since install i have installed several programs that start on boot up but they only slowed start up by about 2-3 seconds. For the gamers out there i have ended up getting about 20 more frames per second that i did with vista but not much surprise there. Also the frames per second gained will vary from game to game but yea.

Check out http://www.sevenforums.com/ they will most likely be able to help you. There are hundreds of people who have been using windows for quite awhile and Im sure at least 1 person has found a solution to your problem.

They have to focus on windows issues and viruses because they know they cant go head to head feature wise. I heard that about 40% of games are made for windows only, and considering that most computers are used for gaming it doesn't really help mac. And there is a reason that windows has so many viruses and it has nothing to do with the macs security, its because everyone uses windows so why would people spend months making super viruses and worms for a operating system that noone uses. But i am a happy windows 7 user and this operating system is so amazing that i will most likely be using it for years. I just hope they don't try and make a new os and just keep working on this os.

i had the worst experience this weekend upgrading my friends computer from vista to w7. I ran into device driver issues and software issue (compatibility).I preferred to a clean install then upgrading from another OS...

but on a side note, i manged to resolved the device driver (dvd rom) and software for the exception of two i had to uninstall.I see why geek squad didn't want to do it..lol
