Windows 7 !!! Who is getting it tomorrow ?
 

Anyone getting 7 tomorrow ? or are you gonna wait for a while ?

I ordered 2 copies ($50*2) when they offered the discount a few months back.

I did some beta testiong for them long enough to get the official copy released early. I have had the official release for about 1 month now and i am loving it. It is truly amazing. Windows 7 is the true upgrade from windows xp, and i hope one day windows vista will just be a long forgotten nightmare.

Mine arrived Monday. Installed without a problem. :up:

UK suppliers were allowed to dispatch Windows 7 pre-orders early because of proposed postal strike on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd October.

It's very nice, worlds better than Vista and the only real upgrade from XP where it's truly an "upgrade" IMO. The menu system they have worked out is fantastic and is worth the upgrade alone, navigation, Windows Explorer and the new Aero are all so much better too. I went from a Vista hater to a Windows 7 fan.

I am not looking forward to installing bloatware on my computer. So I am going to wait as long as possible.

When I can no longer find drivers for XP, then I will downgrade to windows 7, or some other version of microsoft bloat.

I pre-ordered 2 copies, with the UK offer. Still not received it though, due to said postal strike. :p

Am reserving some judgment till it's installed on my machine, however quite liked it running in a virtual machine. Have done many hours of research into what's new and what's changed. Apparently MS have a 140 page document detailing "what has changed". :)

Can't be any worse than Vista, surely? ;)

In many ways, I think we can be thankful of Vista, as it gave MS a wake up call. I don't think Windows 7 is the future, but it's a step further in the right direction.

Windows 7 performs better and takes up less space on my computer than XP does.

Anyway, downloading my pre-ordered copies now and will burn a disc for each computer.

I'm waiting for my Windows 7 (from Sony Windows 7 Upgrade program) to be shipped. Using it for months on my AW290 though ;)

I have no intention of using W7 anytime soon. If past history is any indication, it will be flawed and full of bugs. I have no time to fool around w/MS right now. You guys have fun with that though ;):up:
