Promote your board by becoming part of a vB Ring. Adds a button to the bottom of your site that, if clicked, opens a new window with a random link to any other forum in the vB Ring.
Your site will be randomly linked to from all the other forums in the list.
To be added to the list, you need to :
a) Add your boards name below (to prove it is legal)
b) Install this hack, so you are participating in the ring

So, I tried surfing the ring a little, and this is what I got:
1st try: NO vBring button http://www.glcoti.com/forum_index.php?
2nd Try: Error, Page cannot be displayed
3rd Try: Went well
4th try: Back to the first page (davespikey.net)
5th try: All went well
6th Try: No vBRing button, and I don't even think this is a vBulletin forum! http://www.yellowhumour.com
7th Try: Went well
8th Try: Same site as #5
9th Try: NO vBring button http://www.htireland.com/forums.php?
10th Try: Error, Page cannot be displayed
So, in 10 tries I got:
3 sites that had removed the button
2 Sites that wete dead
And due to repeats only found 3 unique sites that had the button on them.
Obviously the repeat sites is something that will be fixed with more sites added. Seeing all the sites on the ring that no longer have the button worries me. Somehow, the script needs to check up on these sites to make sure they don't just sign up, then take the button off their site to get more hits for themselves.

You can say that but show me the proof that my forum was added to the list so I don't get stuck advertise for free.. I put the banner on my site but there was never any proof of my site being added to the list so I removed it...

I agree. I think that for this to truly work, a website would have to be setup where people can go and see the stats on things like how many times there site was shown, and the sites need to be regularly checked for code. The honor system, just doesn't work anymore!
