Introduction:

This hack will allow the admin to edit an option in the Admin Control Panel and it'll update announcements throughout the whole forum. Now, the hack doesn't read from a specific forum and it doesn't have any "forum integration" with news or anything. It's all manual.

Installation:
  1. Download & Install the attached .xml file.
  2. Place the following code at the bottom of your "navbar" template:
    HTML Code:
    $global_announcements<br />
  3. Modify Options (ACP -> vBulletin Options -> Global Announcement Settings)

Features:
  • Shows on every page that includes the navbar.
  • On/Off Switch
  • You can modify the title (Announcements is default)
  • Add as much news as you'd like (parses HTML! News MUST use HTML!)
  • Collapsable
  • Signal New/Old news by a graphic.

i would click install...but the instructions are vague...obviously it isnt a plugin or product, so could you explain on more of what to do? i was going to post screen shots, but i cant figure out how to get it to work

The .xml should be a product... Than edit your settings, and add the code to your navbar template (breadcrumbs I think)
