Global Announcements v1.0
 

Introduction:

This hack will allow the admin to edit an option in the Admin Control Panel and it'll update announcements throughout the whole forum. Now, the hack doesn't read from a specific forum and it doesn't have any "forum integration" with news or anything. It's all manual.

Installation:

1. Download & Install the attached .xml file.
2. Place the following code at the bottom of your "navbar" template:
   
   HTML Code:

   ---

   $global_announcements<br />

   ---

3. Modify Options (ACP -> vBulletin Options -> Global Announcement Settings)

Features:

• Shows on every page that includes the navbar.
• On/Off Switch
• You can modify the title (Announcements is default)
• Add as much news as you'd like (parses HTML! News MUST use HTML!)
• Collapsable
• Signal New/Old news by a graphic.

This hack was in no way based off of this hack. I actually discovered the plugin AFTER the posting. This is all my work.
