It's not there because people in full releases and other forums kept making new threads by accident instead of replies

i never saw the sense of the newthreadbutton within showthread, and finally with the new style, the devs agreed with me
as i have deleted tons of threads just containing a single post which was planned as an answer to another thread, it's so good to see that won't happen again. |

not disputing the decision just the reasoning behind it, surely with all the mods you got and this place being run for admins, your mods shouldn't mind merging a few threads here and there and the admins that this place is run for, should know the difference between posting a reply and making a new thread?

the word "should" is good choosen here
of course it is not much work to delete/merge such threads, but why increase the work if we could avoid it that easy? There is no reason in adding a newthread button within showthread. At least noone came up with one right now, and therefore we will use the vb3 standard way. |
