Help with Forum Display options

I have been trying to get something like this for 2 years now, closest I came was adding a forum 'link' to return the last 10 days of all threads... it's a search query but looks like forum-home with an added column as to the originating forum of the thread,
the link is:
http://www.YOURDOMAIN/forums/search....tdaily&days=10
assuming your forum is installed in the 'forums' directory, change as needed.

it's the last link under 'off topic' (since it is a search you'd need to register to see the results :/)
EDIT: You can login with username: VB Visitor password: visit - You will only be able to view, not post.

I just implemented it this weekend but so far the biggest complainers seem to like it.
