How to remove brackets from thread prefix?
Hey guys
I'm just wondering what do I need to edit to remove the brackets placed around thread prefixes ? I'm using vbulletin v3.8.2 Thanks so much |

You control that yourself in your Thread Prefix Manager. If you don't put brackets around the prefix there, then they don't show like that in the forum.

yes, however if you want brackets to show both on the board index and in forum display it doubles up the brackets on the forum index.
I just want 1 set of brackets around my prefix in both board index and forumdisplay... ie . [news] its currently displaying like [[news]] Edit : even if i dont put brackets in my prefix one still shows up on the board index prefix : test test shows up on board index : [test] |

My forum doesn't do that. Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:

Edit : ok it seems to be my style. I don't have the problem with the default skin |

It's probably just a template thing then. Just check out the template and see what it says - To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.
