If you can install programs on Windows, you can install vBulletin.
1. Make a mySQL database. 2. Collect the webhost/mySQL data (db location/name/password/full path to directory). 3. Add the data to the config.php file (rename config.php.new to config.php, too). 4. Upload it along with the whole upload directory. 5. Type in the install.php URL. 6. Click/fill in forum details/remove install.php when the script asks. 7. Login. For someone new it might take you about 30 minutes to make a database; track down the info; upload the files; and complete the install.php script. Otherwise, it takes only about 5 minutes (including uploading the directory) to install vBulletin. Fairly automatic. |
