Not really my fault, its default for any user to be able to remove their attachments. Anyway, this isn't about who's in the wrong, it's about fixing the problem at hand. So if anyone could be kind enugh to let me know what query to use to restore the attachments from my old SQL backup it would be much appreciated.

If you have a forum backup taken from cpanel these can be restored whn upping tht backup ... whilst giving the mods/supermods access to permanently delete posts is wrong . Better be safe and patient to remove post yourself thn be sorry after.

Yes, but the sql backup is quite old. A lot has happened on the board since then, so simply restoring an old backup is not an option.

There is no easy way.
Restore the old attachments table (to a table called attachments2). Delete all the records that are not his (from attachments2) and then copy the records that are left back into your live attachments table. (A bit more fancy sql could actually just copy the relevant records from the attachments2 table directly to the live attachments table) |
