How do I customise which banners to display on different forums

COuld someone please give me a hack/code that would let me

1. Display different banners on the Navbar for each forum..

i.e. if My VBsite has 5 forums, say A,B,C,D,E then I want forum A's Navbar to display banner 1 , forum B's Navbar to display banner 2 and so on

2. How do I display different banners on the top and bottom of each forum.. i.e. similar to point 1 except the location of the banner is the top or bottom of the forum

lastly how do I actually identify the forum I'm looking for within all the code.. will I be able to find the forum by its name? eg forum A ...or does VB assign it's own referencing to the forums on my site?

please help! I'm a complete newbie to VB and am finding all this code etc DEAD HARD! ... isn't there an Idiot's Guide book on this :cross-eyed:
