How to use a cron job to run a query?

Hi, I think the best way for me to do something I have been meaning to code is to use a cron job. I just need to run a single query one a day or something. Is a cron job the best way to do this? If so, how would I do it? Sorry, never worked with cron jobs before.

use the vb cron system.

just open an already existing cronscript, you can see, how queries are called there (no difference than on all other scripts)

then create a new script with your new knowledge, containing the query, upload it, and thenn add it into the cronsystem via acp scheduled tasks
