A lot of people gave me links, and said how shitty Captcha was, but that was no solution. I want no new stuff that I have to install, I just want to know how I can get the captcha that's already there to work again.
If someone knows how to do that, I would be very much obliged.

And perhaps because I thought that there were actually clever people around here who could actutally help instead of giving childish answers? Why do you think ALL the major email providers' human verification is completely ineffective today? Oh, they stubbornly keep using captchas.
It's neutered. It annoys people. And that's all it does for you.
Have you disabled your mods? Tried a default style? What have you tried to get it to work (although honestly, the best thing to use is Question and Answer).

Q&A quickly lost effectiveness. There's several good articles out there about how it was defeated.
