instead of a 1 line field, I want it to be more of a box shape where they can hit return and be taken to the next line. Is this possible and/or is there a hack for it? I would like to give my users the ability to have their system specs in their profile. Is this possible?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Not currently possible (without hacking).
If you don't want to hack, then I suggest you use different fields, i.e one for OS, one for Browser (or whatever you want them to put), etc. |

Would it take considerable amount of hacking or would it be a fairly simple hack?

Fairly simple actually.

Run a query (to add the field to user table), edit templates (to add the field to the profile page), hack member.php (so it will update the field on submit).
