How To Convert The Database Encoding Into Utf-8 Through Ssh Commands
Hello there Actually I'm trying to convert my database encoding from Latin1 into utf-8 so I followed many tutorials, but it didn't work, then I asked my server's technical support team to do something around it, and they've told me that ssh is a communications program so it won't convert the encoding any way. and what seems to be suitable is BASH commands, we'll have to dump the databases and run them through a character translated to adjust the coding. However, any off-the-shelf program to do this will probably corrupt vbulletin, so a vbulletin program will be the best chance. hence they recommended me to contact you here as vbulletin experts is there any way to convert my database from Latin1 into Utf-8 |
