Is there any way to disallow moderators from seeing the IP address of posts?
I thought the option in the usergroup manager prevented them from seeing IP addresses, but I guess that's only for the 'whos online'. I am using 3.6.8. Thanks for any help! |

yep it's in usergroup permissions - just disable it there

When you assign moderators, under Forum Manager -> Add Moderator (you want Edit Moderator Now) under "User Options" there is Can View IP Addresses, set that to "No" for each moderator in each forum. |

Great, thanks so much!
One question though....what if I only use Super Moderators instead of regular Moderators...where would I edit that, or is it the same way? Thanks again! |

Same page. Only there is a list of Super Moderator permissions to edit at the top.

Hmm, did exactly what you guys said to do, and it still doesnt work. I made a test account and set it as a Moderator. I added the moderator to the forum and clicked 'can not view IP addresses".... I signed in with that account and can still view IP addresses.
Any ideas? ![]() |

Did you do this using the same browser? Did you do a Force Refresh on the page so you didn't get a cached page?

Create a new style with no parent - Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style > no parent - then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?
If it is still happening, then try disabling your plugins and see if you still have this problem. Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php PHP Code:
