vb 4.2.4 with PHP 7
Hi
I have vbulletin version 4.2.4 and I want to use wordpress in my site, so I have to upgrade PHP version to 7.2 as they mentioned in their site. The problem here is that vb 4.2.4 don't work with PHP 7.2 as I know, so what I have to do? The first solution on my table is upgrading to vb 4.2.5 but there is some issues, first can vv 4.2.5 run smoothly with PHP 7.2 because there is a note in member area tells that vb4.2.5 works with PHP until 7.1 not 7.2!! The second issues, what about all the plugins and products that I'm using now? are they working with PHP 7.2? and if not, is the fixing of tem to make them compatible with PHP 7.2 is a bg issue? Thanks in advance. |

I have heard that some have found they can use PHP 7.2 with vB 4.2.5, with error messages turned off to suppress warnings.
As far as products, that really depends on how they were written. Some will work just fine I would think, while others will require editing to update deprecated functions, etc. |
