I read somewhere that there is a modification that removes inactive staff. Like moderators, ect. I searched, but can't find it. Anyone know?

I (personally) wouldn't leave a modification the task of demoting staff. I'd rather do it myself TBH.

I agree with Dismounted as an Administrator you should really be doing it yourself so at least you know who has power and who hasn't. I mean you can't have that many moderators can you? If your leaving it to a script you may want to consider consolidating your moderation team to active members you can keep track of and notice easily if there is any lack of activity.
Anyway if you still want to go ahead with it, you could try this: Move inactive users to separate usergroup |

You could install a moderation tracking modification that will give you stats of your moderation staff and their activity.
