Adding some padding round header?

Hello

I am currently styling my forum and wanted to know how to add a 5px high padding between the header and nav bar so it matches the top and sides in picture around header.

It's probably going to be something really obvious, but have been doing bits to this all day and now am going mad!

Edit: My title said round the header, it's more only below it, so navbar is seperate.
