Adding some padding round header?
1 Attachment(s)
Hello
I am currently styling my forum and wanted to know how to add a 5px high padding between the header and nav bar so it matches the top and sides in picture around header. It's probably going to be something really obvious, but have been doing bits to this all day and now am going mad! :) Edit: My title said round the header, it's more only below it, so navbar is seperate. |
Add the code below at the top line of navbar template
HTML Code:
<div style="padding-top: 5px;"></div> |
Many thanks Seven Skins!
Edit: Still no padding and it's beating me why it isn't working. |
hmm
You can post you header and navbar code here then we will see why? . |
Many thanks, I am currently making it like the wordpress part of the site, but having a few nightmares with the css.
Here is the header (I have removed the site link from the custom menu, so ignore that part) Code:
<!-- logo --> and the navbar Code:
<br /> |
Leave nabbar as it is ... use the code below in header:
HTML Code:
<!-- logo --> |

Thanks again for your kind help sevenskins.
Again, there seems to be some layout issues with it. It has given a 5px white bottom but isn't going to the end and is also set too low. This skin I am basing on the wordpress in the root and it really is becoming a pain to get right. The forums seem fine and looks alike the wp style but the header and footer have taken me ages to try and get right. I even copied the CSS for the menu in WP exactly the same into VB and although it is showing over the temporary header, the buttons are too big and is not aligning properly. If the CSS is the same and the code is right, I can't see what is causing the issues. Anyway, here is the header with that edited code, and a pic of the WP I am trying to integrate. |
Can you please post your footer code here.

Here is the footer
Code:
$ad_location[ad_footer_start] |
Try these: Do save your original templates tho.
Header: HTML Code:
<!-- logo --> Footer: HTML Code:
