Moderation Auto-PM
Version 2.0.1
What is it?
Moderation Auto-PM will automaticly send a Private Message to the user whenever their thread, post or attachment is moderated using the Thread Tools or Inline Moderation Tools.
It has support for the following types of moderation:
Thread: Move
Thread: Delete
Thread: Undelete
Thread: Stick
Thread: Unstick
Thread: Open
Thread: Close
Thread: Approve
Thread: Unapprove
Thread: Title Edit
Post: Edit
Post: Move
Post: Delete
Post: Undelete
Post: Approve
Post: Unapprove
Attachment: Approve
Attachment: Unapprove
All options can be turned on/off in the AdminCP. Moderation Auto-PM will not show the user where their thread is being moved to/from if they do not have permission to view the forum. You can also set a "master" exclude list of forum IDs that will never be touched by Moderation Auto-PM.
What's new in Version 2.0.1?
Added support for opening and closing threads by double-clicking on the thread icon
Fixed a bug caused by a missing phrase
Credit for this release goes to ConqSoft, as he notice the missing phrase bug, and suggested the new Ajax open/close feature
What's new in Version 2.0?
Fully compatible with both vB 3.5.4 and vBulletin 3.6 Beta 2 or above!
Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits
Support for deleting posts via quick edit
Don't send a PM if you are moderating your own thread
Send a Delete PM instead of a Move PM if moved to a particular forum (ie, a recycle bin type forum)
Age Cutoff Point - if the item is over a certain age, a PM won't be sent
A couple of tiny bugfixes that no-one noticed
How do I install / configure it?
Please see the install.txt file contained within the zip.
How do I upgrade?
If you are upgrading from a previous version of this mod (any version), just upload the 3 PHP files, making sure to overwrite the old ones and re-import the Product XML, making sure you set "Allow Overwrite" to Yes.
If you are upgrading from PM on Thread Move, please uninstall that hack first, then install this one following the instructions in install.txt
Thanks go to redlabour for kindly providing a German translation for the phrases and to everyone who nominated this mod or voted for this mod in HotM June
Important: Unfortunately, my leased vBulletin licence has now expired, and I won't be renewing it until September which means I will be unable to reply to this thread, or update this mod until then. I'm hopeful that the great vBulletin.org community will step in to answer any questions in my absence though See you all in early September!

Bada Bing: I've only tested it on vB 3.5.4 and 3.6 Beta 2, but it *should* work on 3.5.3
Thanks,
Alan.
Im currently using the prior version on vb 3.5.3 and hate to break it as I love this hack.. Is there a way to confirm that it works for 3.5.3 before I upgrade? This would be really nice man.
If the previous version worked ok on 3.5.3, then this one should.
The easiest way to test it is to install it, if it doesn't work, just un-install it and re-install the previous version - installation only takes a few seconds

Whoo-hoo, thanks! Both of my requests were added to the new features. I have one other request .... the ability to NOT send a PM when performing a moderation (for whatever reason).
This is one of my favorite hacks ... thanks so much!!
" Support for editing posts / titles using the ajax quick edit bits"
That what I am looking for
but if the ajax disable in my fourm do you think this will work ?
Am I missing something? If you disable AJAX on your forum then you're not able to edit posts/titles using the AJAX quick edit bits... therefore this mod wouldn't have anything to Auto-PM.
I'm confused about how I would change the PM to say the thread was deleted instead of moved, when it's being moved to one specific forum (a deleted thread archive) .... can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm guessing it needs to be done in Phrases, but I'm seeing where I can change it for only one forum.
