iTrader for vB 3.5.x & 3.6.x has evolved from Trader Ratings for vB 3.0.x which evolved from Buy/Sell/Trade User Rating System for vB 2.x. This is a rating system for when members buy / sell / trade items from each other (presumably on a FS section of your forum). It is somewhat based on the honor system since there is no automatic way to truly tell if they did engage in a transaction. iTrader came about because it was a pain to try and maintain a single thread listing good / bad traders and so far has worked out quite well.
Features:
Rate another member: Positive / Negative / Neutral
Specify in each transaction: Buyer, Seller, or Trade
Leave multiple comments about the deal
Dates & IPs are all recorded to prevent abuse
Specify a thread URL to the deal
Advanced URL checking
Display ratings over time
Filter based on Buyer/Seller/Trade/or feedback they left for others
Users can edit/delete ratings left for others (time based limitation)
iTrader Admins can edit/delete anyone's ratings (just incase)
PM notification when new rating or comment is left
Per-usergroup permissions
Lots of admin controllable options

Hi, I would like to modify this package in such a way that
1) the limit is no longer 80 characters. My programmer I'm sure can find this out right away, but are there any limits to making it longer then 80 characters?
2)more importantly, I need the rating to be a 5 star ranking, not a -1, 0, 1 array, users can rate that user, on 1- 5 and it will reflect in his overall ranking.
3)the url is autofilled: what code can I write in postbit so that a user can click to rate, and when it goes to the submission page, the url field is already filled out?
is there any way to specifically back the itrader data up? im going to use importx or whatever it is called to take my forums back to day 1 with all posts and data, but id hate to loose my itrader data
Can anyone tell me how to make the i-trader ratings to appear in my upgraded 3.6.8 version?
I had 3.5.x, upgraded, and now the trader ratings don't appear. Can anyone provide detailed instructions on what needs to be done to successfully migrate i-trader from 3.5.x to 3.6.8?
I installed this on my board but the permissions to grant to the usergroups is not showing up.
Help?
I've tried loading the xml product file a couple of times which didn't help.
Go to Admin CP > Usergroups > Usergroups Manager > Click edit usergroup for Administrator > A window should say updating and when done it will take you to the updated list of permissions > Scroll down and look for iTrader and edit the settings > Save & Boom you should be able to view it now.

If you have installed a new version of vB and overwritten the template edits, then you just need to reapply the itrader hack. I have just upgraded to 3.6.8 and the itrader stuff seems to be working fine.
It loaded great and its working great. I do have 1 question. When I click a members name it shows there feedback on top but it doesnt show the actual posts below it. If I click the link to itrader from the postbit legacy it works perfect. How to I get the same info when I click the members name from the say the whats going on area. Thank you.
