For whichever forum, we need to specify the name (whatever we decide to use as a prefix) of the image.

So, in essence, I could use....

"whatever_" within the field on the forum manager.

...then, I can name them like this....

whatever_forum_link.gif
whatever_forum_new.gif
whatever_forum_new_lock.gif
whatever_forum_old.gif
whatever_forum_old_lock.gif

....and just upload the "whatever" versions of these images to my forumicons directory. Which, in turn, will eliminate the standard (or whatever you have in there) images for those particular forums that you specify the prefix in and replace them with the "whatever" images.

I'm going to try this on another site that I wanted to use it on. :up:

i'm very glad i came across this thread, because i almost unnecessarily installed a hack to do this exact same thing


the only small thing i'd point out is that the directory where the icons need to be loaded is called "statusicon", not "forumicons"
