Default How to allow Custom Profile Fields to exceed 250 characters

I am trying to allow a member to write a good decent paragraph about themselves but they cant go over 250 words. How do i disable this part of VB and allow me to make it maybe 1000 or so?

Can anyone give me a hand?

you have to change the db structure from varchar(250) into mediumtext.

The thing is I have heard of that back when I started all this VB stuff, but now I forgot where I saw it or what it was. Is it a program that I download? Sorry to be a newbie with a stupid q but I know nothing of this "phpmyadmin" :ermm: I realy do recognize the name though lol but seriously, I know nothing about it. Any basic help would be appreciated. Thanks.

In your server control panel (contact your host for control panel details) - you should see a place for MySQL and inside of that a link for PhPMyAdmin.
