I deleted alot of folders in my ftp by mistake and was wondering what was the best way to restore the "public_html" folder.
Any ideas? |

Just upload it from a backup or from your computer. Do you keep a copy of the files on your computer?

Ok, it sounds like you don't have a backup of the files. So, just do as you originally did and upzip the files in the 3.7 zip file and then upload them via ftp. Is that how you originally put them onto your site?

OK, fine, but, why don't you just add back a folder called "public_html" and then upload all your files? Make sure you set the permissions to 755 on it.

Most are 644 or 755. Folders that need to be written to (customavatars, etc) need to be 777.
