Default Learning Correct Way to Build Hacks
Hey All,

I have been playing with forums for a while and I have always been able to make the changes I wanted and needed.

But, I want to learn more about the functions and inner working of the system. Are there an files, links tutorials... anything on the setups / configs / etc...

check the modification hints and tips forum, i believe there is some threads on hacking in there and maybe in the php/html etc. forum

they dont have a full sdk but there is some info for developers in the vbulletin manual on vbulletin.com

If everything was fully documented, there would be no need for programmers, which just wouldn't be smart now would it?

Documenting the API for add in enhancements would make the product more popular IMO.

And it will be documented for the next major vB release. I believe it was said that it wasn't documented for 3.0.0 since major changes were planned.

see that is what I mean...

vB supplies the code, so we can make custom changes to it, so it better suits our needs. So, why not have some basic how-to, or information regarding where things can be found.

Just my 2 cents.
