Learning Correct Way to Build Hacks
Hey All,
I have been playing with forums for a while and I have always been able to make the changes I wanted and needed. But, I want to learn more about the functions and inner working of the system. Are there an files, links tutorials... anything on the setups / configs / etc... Thanks. |
check the modification hints and tips forum, i believe there is some threads on hacking in there and maybe in the php/html etc. forum;)

I really wish vB had some sort of officialy documentation of everything... :ermm:
|
they dont have a full sdk but there is some info for developers in the vbulletin manual on vbulletin.com ;)
|
keyword there is some....not nearly enough information IMO.
|
If everything was fully documented, there would be no need for programmers, which just wouldn't be smart now would it? :)

And it will be documented for the next major vB release. I believe it was said that it wasn't documented for 3.0.0 since major changes were planned.
|
Next major release being 4.0.0? Or 3.0.8?
|
see that is what I mean...
vB supplies the code, so we can make custom changes to it, so it better suits our needs. So, why not have some basic how-to, or information regarding where things can be found. Just my 2 cents. |
