How to moderate a thread but let author read it? (make it a pending 'private' thread)
I would like my users to post on a given section (sub-forum) of my board, that will serve to publish the threads on my site's vBadvanced first page, but would like to make the thread pending approval from a moderator, so the thread would only be made public after approval. The idea:
Please post ideas and/or questions so we could all learn a bit more how to do it...! ![]() Thank you all so very much!   |

This would be a very good idea to let users suggest articles to publish on the vBadvanced front-page, letting them read their post, even before the thread has been approved by a moderator.
Right now, what I have is the most common (but badly) way to do it: - Users suggest articles on a sub-forum on my board, but the suggested thread stays moderated until some moderator approves it... I would like to give users the permission to read their suggested thread even when the thread is still 'unapproved'. How to do it? |

Why did you need to bump this old thread, with no relevance?

This might me an old thread, but it is VERY IMPORTANT!
I need to know if someone knows anything about how to implement this... |
