What Tony suggested is what I do when designing a style.

For example, I first design the theme in Photoshop. This allows me to play with elements and move things around easily. Using layers, I can play with the user interface etc.

From there, I can then break out elements into discreet files for creating web images, e.g. buttons, header graphics etc.

The last piece of the puzzle is adapting the design to vB through the templates so that the design is fully realized.
