If you cannot be bothered to updates your templates, and that is the sole reason you're not upgrading. That is a very bad choice.

This site, is a community help forum. I am representing only myself, and yes, sometimes I will come off as cold, and harsh to the realities of the world and the internet at large.

What does the plugin solve, that you cannot do on your own?
Are you going to code it yourself, or are you ask others to donate their free time to your needs?
Does the effort in coding a plugin to do this, reduce the total number of hours spent doing upgrades for you in the future?

If you took the time to document, and log your changes the first time around, updating should be a trivial thing.

Though, I'm pretty sure vBoptimize will do this for you.
