I was wondering if its possible to create a mod that only counts unique thread and profile views.

It was said that it would require massive amounts of storage to do this.

I was assuming that would be the really unique view, which means if I visit a thread for a first time today the view count increases by one, but then a week later, I visit again and it doesn't increase. I would be happy if this could be done just for a short period of time, say an hour, or even 15 minutes, a few minutes, etc. This way you can stop people from constantly refreshing in a short time to increase the view count.

I used another forum (not vb) before and for one of their profile views mods, they let you set a time period for the same visitor to increase the profile view. For example, if you set it to 15 minutes, I could refresh that profile 100 times in 15 minutes, but it would still only count as one view. After 15 minutes however, a second view is counted and this repeats.

Would this be difficult to do? Thanks.
