With images scaled down to this size you'll always get some kind of distortion unless you hold the original source files to scale the images down properly.

When you re-size the image in photoshop keep your finger on the shift button so your scaling down width/height at the same dimensions rate. At anycase, if you still have this persisting issue post the image your re-sizing and I'll have a look for you.
