In addition to the Human Verification, reCAPTCHA etc... activated, I have been using the following quite effectively:

Those spammers (*) who succeed in passing through these lines of defense will manually (through Moderation using "Check4SPAM - Advanced SPAM Search & Destroy!") end up in a "Miserable Usergroup" fortress.

(*) Here are some of those spammers who have succeeded in passing through and manually ended in the "Miserable Usergroup". They do not disturb my forum any more.
