You will not believe how easy it was to solve this problem, so i am sharing how i solve dit in case any other poor soul comes across a similar problem, the solution is simnple but a needle in the haystack.

Basically in the admin control panel OPTIONS for vbulletin, where it says user registration options, there are a list of defaiult settings you can set for new users.

At the bottom, by defualt the thread display is set to "Linear mode, newest post first" when in all honesty most of us familiar with forums read the OLD POST FIRST!, so just change that to "Linear mode oldest post first", see attachment.
