remove search from FAQs

i dont want to be able to search in FAQs i think that whole function is useless and looks bad, anyone know how to remove it exactly?

i hate the private message reply system, where u are forced to quote someone

would it be a hack or just a template edit to make a simple reply button and have just just reply with no quote?
