Agh... know this is a little OT but I need IPB 1.2 files (needed for VB)

I just messed up my free copy and I need to replace the messed up files with proper ones, so I can view that old board and look at the skin more in order to make my new VB skin.

Which one is the most like notepad? I just want simplicity.

I think I used TextPad before and it had the same problem.

It does this in another text editor I got too. Never used to do this on my other XP copy, started noticing it on this one...

I am starting a forum where there are two usergroups- one joins free after a verification with me, and the other pays a subscription fee.

Edit: I don't really want to do that, I want the forums to be index, cause the NAME of my site ends in...

Can I set up a portal so the portal and the forum are in the same directory (main dir of the site) instead using a /forum/ dir?

So the forums keep being index whatever and the portal is...
